Greetings! This issue of our newsletter focuses on
"web-based building applications" and how you can take advantage
of such services to improve operating efficiencies, decrease
administrative costs, and better serve your customers! One
of the benefits of using web-based software is that someone else
has already done all the work setting up the application so it is
ready to use. You can enjoy the benefits of using custom
designed software, and since it's web-based, you and your
colleagues can access it anywhere, anytime...

Web-Based
Real Estate Applications |
 |
"Web-based" applications provide an excellent opportunity to
utilize custom designed software solutions and programs without
the hassle of having to select, install, configure, learn and
maintain the software all yourself. The actual software and
back-end programming reside on a host server on the Web, so you
can access the application and your data wherever you have an
Internet connection -- from your office, from your home, or from
the road. There are many web-based applications specifically
designed for commercial real estate that you can take advantage
of, such as lease creation and administration,
development of marketing materials, transaction management,
property data and research, contact management, human resource
software, and much more. Many of these applications offer
automated, "plug-and-play" solutions where you can load your own
building information, photos, graphics, floorplans, or other data
to generate professional reports and brochures that can be
accessed or distributed digitally with the click of your mouse.
It's that easy.
I've had the opportunity to try a few of these applications, and
wanted to share a few of our favorites. Randy Chamzuk with
Quickspace walked me
through a half-hour demo of their marketing software, where we
were able to create very impressive marketing materials, complete
with digital brochures that could be printed, e-mailed, or loaded
to a web site. It was as easy as uploading a few photos, floorplans, leasing data and other building information, and it
was done. Within minutes, you could e-mail marketing
materials to your prospects -- and immediately track who
opened them and where they "clicked"! Just think of the time and cost savings these
applications can offer commercial brokerage firms, leasing agents,
commercial owners and managers, developers, and other
professionals in the commercial real estate industry.
Rob Cain at
REApplications impressed us with a demo of their real estate
transaction management software, which literally converges every
piece of building, tenant, leasing, project, contact management,
administration, human resource, and other management information
into a single application. I can only imagine the
competitive advantage a commercial broker would have utilizing
this type of program in their day-to-day business.
The best way to appreciate these web-based tools is to give them a
test drive. You can visit Quickspace and REApplications at
the links above. If you have any questions about these
services or if you would like more information about other
web-based products, please Contact Us.

Owners Who Really "Get It"
In the next few issues
of the CRE Partners Newsletter, we are going to showcase buildings around the country whose owners are offering
innovative
technology and telecommunications solutions for their tenants -- and
the impact those solutions have had on occupancy, tenant
satisfaction, and retention rates. Do you think your building
rates at the top?
If your building offers
state-of-the-art, innovative telecommunications or technology
solutions and you want to showcase these features, please
submit a
brief description to CRE Partners for consideration. We are
looking for buildings that offer such services as 100 Mbps Internet
services, Wi-Fi on demand, in-building wireless, interactive
touch screen directories, on-line tenant request and maintenance
systems, building automation solutions, or even just impressive web
sites.
To submit your building for consideration, or to nominate a building
you feel meets these criteria, please fill out our
Contact page, or call CRE Partners at
703-444-5720.
