Darlene Pope -
Founder and President
Ms. Pope has been a leading spokesman for the
telecommunications
industry and its relationship with commercial
real estate, having played an
active role in educating and integrating
the two industries since 1994.
Ms. Pope has eight years
of senior management experience in the
telecommunications
industry, having served as Sr. Director of Corporate
Development
for e-xpedient, a wireless broadband Internet provider,
Sr. Manager of Real Estate Development for BroadBand Office,
a telecommunications and applications service
provider, Vice President of Real Estate for OnSite Access,
a building-centric telephone and Internet provider, and Director
of Marketing and Business Development for Kivex.com, the nation's
first shared-tenant Internet company (now Allegiance Telecom).
Having worked closely with both real estate owners and telecommunications
companies, Ms. Pope is able to offer a realistic insight into the business
needs of service providers, owners, and tenants.
Ms. Pope is an active member
of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA),
serves on the Telecommunications Task Force, and
is a frequent guest speaker at real estate association
meetings. Ms. Pope served as the primary instructor for BOMA's "Internet
101: Getting Connected For Success In Commercial Real Estate,
and contributed to the publications "Wired For Profit:
The Property Managers Guide to Telecommunications" and
"Critical Connections." In addition, Ms. Pope has written numerous articles
on the topic of telecom and its applications
in commercial real estate for such publications as BOMA.org,
the Office and Commercial Real Estate Magazine, Office and
Industrial Properties, Central Florida Real Estate Journal,
Society of Property Professionals Journal, and Dorey's Atlanta.
Ms. Pope began her real estate
career in 1992 as a commercial property manager for Charles
E. Smith Co. in Washington, DC, and is currently working on
completing her Real Property Administrator (RPA)
designation.

Christy Cooper – Vice President
Ms.
Cooper is Vice President of CRE Partners, handling the company’s
marketing and business development activities. She has over thirteen
years
of senior management experience in consulting services, sales & marketing
and license negotiation to the residential and commercial real estate
industry.
Prior to
joining CRE Partners, Ms. Cooper served as National Business
Director for Management Business Planning Systems, a real estate
consulting company, Sr. Manager of Channel Marketing for
Broadband Office, a full service telecommunications and
applications service provider, Director of Real Estate for
OnSite Access, a building-centric telephone and Internet
provider, and Regional Director of KIVEX.com, the first shared
tenant internet service provider. Ms. Cooper maintains a
principal broker license and is a former owner of an independent
residential real estate brokerage servicing Northern Virginia.
Ms Cooper is
active in real estate associations such as Commercial Real
Estate Women (CREW), Building Owners and Managers Association
(BOMA), Apartment and Office Building Association – DC (AOBA),
Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) and the
National Association of Realtors. She has served on the Board
of Directors of CREW and the Associates Coalition Team of AOBA,
working closely with both associations in vendor services,
educational programs and association events. Ms. Cooper has
conducted a series of telecommunications educational sessions
for the commercial real estate industry and has spoken at real
estate related events for organizations such as the Greater
Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR) and NVAR.
Ms. Cooper is a
graduate of George Mason University in 1984 with a B.A. degree
in Psychology and is a licensed real estate broker in the state
of Virginia.
